Stepping Back in Line...From Boogie Time

So my 'Baby Step Boogie' took me on a little detour. Life does that, however, detours off your path or stepping out of line, so to speak. The trick is to step back IN line and get back on track as soon as possible. Don't stop focusing on your goals because you've been distracted!

As it stands, I am still writing, still prepping, still researching, still 'getting ready'. I think there's only so much preparation work a person can do! As Nike used to say, you have to "Just Do It"!

So join me as I step back in line and get back on track. If I can do it, you definately can to! I am going to review my long term plans and remind myself of my long term goals. Create for myself a fresh focus.

Take that first step with clarity and confidence and before we know it we will be stepping back in line, coming back from baby step boogie time.

Cheers to our success,

Laura

The Baby Step Boogie!

I have begun to build up my writing repetoire. Pretty soon I'll have lots to share with you! So, my first baby step is about to take place. I have decided, however, to also focus on the social side of promoting my work. Nothing for sale or anything like that, but a writer needs readers right?

So, as a result, my system of baby steps gradually moving towards an ultimate goal has taken a little side step already! I'm sure, as I go along, I'll find that I will have to adjust several times, to maintain my goals. Perhaps there will be enough side steps for a little dance! I'll call this dance the Baby Step Boogie.

Remember, keep focused on your ultimate goals and plugging away at your current steps to get there. You'll dance successfully into your future!

Cheers,
Laura

Set your goals to match your dreams...using baby steps!

Okay, so recently I have tried to map out my life for the next decade or so, to include the successful realization of certain aspirations that I have, in an attempt to make my own dreams come true.

A lot of things lin life are not under our control, but somethings are.

Part of this plan of mine is to be able to earn money under my own terms, to allow me to be with my growing family and not feel dependant on anyone because of it. I have tried a few things (none of which very successful) and am now gearing up to sincerely make a go of it.

I am a freelance writer and content creator. This is the first baby step towards my future plans.
I hope to soon share, on this blog, some of my work so you can check it out for yourselves. I will also keep you updated on how things are going regarding my future plans. Believe me, if I become successful I WILL share how I did it!

Cheers to all,
Laura Gagnon

Go BIG and go all the way!

So I've been doing a lot of soul searching lately. I'm not sure about you, but I want it all.
I want to try everything, I want to do anything (legally speaking) and I always have.
I always dream big. Do others?
I find I am attracted to people who are the same. Big dreamers, big doers. Is this the Law of Attraction kicking in? Who knows.
If you're the same, but you need funds to start your endeavours I found this really cool site called the GoBIGNetwork. It is a networking type site where you can find investors for your business etc. Check it out and don't forget to dream BIG!
As always, it's time to lead your lives. :)
Cheers,
Laura

Ben Mack and Bucky's Magic

This was it, the last evening of Ben Mack's webinar series "Profitable Magic". This session was a little different. Ben invited Peter Meisen, steward of GENI, Global Energy Network Initiative to speak about the legacy of R Buckminster Fuller (Bucky for short). Bucky started GENI. He was an intellect with ideas that are even more prevalent today.

Mr. Meisen discussed issues of renewable resources and the environment. Some key points:
- The Wind Industry has been growing at 40% every 2 years or so. There were 10,000 mega watts world wide of wind energy in 2000, now there are 80,000MW around the world.
-The Solar Industry is also exploding, 30-40% every 2 years (or so).
-Mr Meisen, with GENI, formed an index so that people can invest in renewable energies.Who are the leading companies who are taking Carbon out of all their services in the varying sectors? You can find out more about this at http://www.kld.com/ . see Global 100 Index.
-In the past 600,000 years, Carbon ppm(parts per million) never went above 300. In the last 100 years, we'll be lucky the high that we reach is 450!!!

Now, although I am certainly NOT an expert on Bucky Fuller, this is what I gathered fro this webinar. It sounds like he was a man who was before his time. Some of his sayings came up in the conversation and I'm going to list them so you can do with them what you will, I'll just be pleased that you read and thought about them. Oh and they're not necessarily word for word, but I think they're pretty close to what I heard.
-Spontaneous Cooperation, How can we make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest amount of time?
-You never change things to fight the existing reality, but you change things to make the existing reality obsolete.
-Comprehensive Anticipatory Design Science (it was suggested need would need to "google" this term in order to properly understand it), bu t I think it's something like being able to design something or idea while predicting future variables like increase in population.
-Do not fight forces, use those forces to fight.
and my favorite
-Love is metaphysical Gravity.

Now, while all this was extremely interesting, and valuable as entrepreneurs are often the ones trying to make a difference, I was still left with the question of relevance to the Magic of it all.
Then it struck me. While the environmental relevance was a stretch for me as far as my business development, R Buckminster Fuller is clearly an extremely important figure to many.(As he should be) and in sharing him with all of us, Ben Mack has made him so to us as well.
Not only that, we will be telling all of our friends about him, and starting conversations on the environment. One message can reach the eyes of many, like ripples in a pond, like MAGIC. Let's see how far we can take it beloved people!

Thank you so much Ben for such an enlightening experience. I do hope to meet you one day, have a drink and a chat. You sound interesting and enlightening on so many levels.

One more step towards success everyone!
Cheers to you

The Magic In Business As It Relates To Harry Potter - Jeffrey Edwards Explains

I enjoyed yet another awesome webinar last night in Ben Mack's series "Profitable Magic". This one featured Jeffrey Edwards, a Big Business Consultant and an Alchemist.

He spoke about the seven stages of Alchemation, as they relate to the Harry Potter series, and how they could relate to the entrepeneur.

I will describe these 7 stages, as I understood them and their relation to business, so you perhaps be able to see what I mean.

1-calsination - Which is, essentially trial by fire, to reduce something by fire into ash. To figure out how a business works you reduce it to points (ash). This to see why the operation operates the way it does.
2-dissolution - trial by water, which is to dissolve things to allow them to become something else.
3-separation - At this point you should be able to look at what's before you with a new set of eyes, pulling the good from the bad. Taking items that are working and separating them from the bad and keeping the nuggets of knowledge, washing away the debree.
4-conjunction -The important stage of putting things back together - the stage when lead lead is turned to gold, putting the remaining pieces back together to make something new.
5-fermentation - taking those items that are conjuncted and allowing them to fester, as in wine.
6-distillation - pull the essence of the fermented material out, think of distilled water, boiling it and turning the pure water into steam, leaving the bad stuff behind.
7-coagulate - letting it come together as something new.

Mr. Edwards focussed mainly on the first four of these stages, the fourth being the most prominent. Who wouldn't want their business to be able to turn lead into proverbial gold? Using these stages of alchemy as it relates to business could mean magic if you are oging to come out the other end with gold!

The conversation then turned to leadership and five leadership talents. For more on this you can read an article I wrote entitled 'Become The Leader You Should Be' Please go ahead and read the article as I think anyone would find it beneficial.

Alchemy has been defined as "the art of transmutation of the soul". It's all about becoming something you never thought you could be. Now that is magic!

Cheers Ben for another enchanting evening!

Sincerly,

Laura Gagnon

Magic of an Emotional Journey - Ben Mack and Joost van der Leij

Last night webinar in Ben Mack's Profitable Magic series featured Joost van der Leij, who is a world class NLP Master. (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Here are some of the things he said that stuck out for me. First, if you are at or near the beginning of this journey to improve your life, as I am, you need to be a "fanatic" about it. Do whatever you have to do [to take the next step] in a relaxed and orderly manner.
Another point, when we're able to be successful in our failures, we open the door to being successful at success. Sounds like it's time to be successful in success eh?
But an interesting topic discussed was basic NLP strategy. The idea that taking a potential sales client through an emotional journey to arrive at the point of sale. Joost's form of "magic" as it applies to the webinar series. When a person is looking to buy they are, at first, anxious. As the sales person, take them through 5 emotions; 1/frustration, as it relates to their current situation; 2/hesitation, as it relates to your competition, 3/curiousity, when pitching your own product; all of these getting the potential client at the point of 4/"Maybe I'll do something", and finally to 5/"go for it!" at which time they're signing a contract. The client will all the time be rationalizing their feeling because they came to the end gradually and on their own. Pretty interesting stuff eh? Magic even!
There are TWO DAYS LEFT in Ben Mack and Ken McArthurs webinar series Profitable Magic. Click on the words and check it out now! We could all use a little magic along the way!
It's time,
